Diamond Services Summary

SGS Minerals Services' mineralogical group provides high quality bankable exploration to evaluation-stage service to the international diamond exploration community.

This includes:

• Exploration sample processing* (screening, crushing, density and magnetic separation).
• Indicator mineral selection and grain morphology characterization and photography*
• Microprobe analysis and indicator mineral classification/evaluation.
• Macro- and micro-diamond extraction by caustic dissolution*
• Diamond selection, classification and evaluation*
• Petrographic analysis of host rock and xenolith suites.
• Mantle geothermobarometry calculation.
• Ni/Zn thermometry calculations and evaluations of trace element signatures in diamond indicator minerals.
• Bulk sample processing utilizing a 1 and 10 tonne/hr DMS plant; diamond recovery by grease table and SORTEX™.

SGS Minerals Services provides secure chain-of-custody sample transfer to ensure the safe handling of all types of exploration samples.
