Flowsheet Development for Rutile

Charaterization of the bulk mineral assemblage of an exploration sample and identification of the particle size and textural associations of titanium minerals allow for development of a testing flowsheet.

A rutile concentrate is then prepared by sequential magnetic seperation. QEMSCAN analysis of the test products indicates where losses occur in tails, and where contaminants appear in the concentrate.
